1. It was never about their personalities

Everyone kept telling me some cats "just don't get along." A bad match. Live with it.
Then I learned how cats live in the wild. The ones who share a home are family. They rub against each other all day. Bit by bit, they take on one smell. That smell means safe.
Mine never had that. Two grown strangers in one house. They didn't hate each other. They just never became family.
The slow reintroductions? I was building tolerance. Not family.
